1. Ludacris Chicken N Beer Restaurant

Rappers, at least lately, really like to open fried-chicken restaurants: Flavor Flav put his name on a now-defunct joint in Clinton, Iowa, and Jay-Z recently invested in his cousin's Brooklyn Buffalo Boss wings. Now part of the ever-escalating rivalry: Ludacris, who will soon debut his own restaurant named Chicken-n-Beer, after his third album. It'll be located inside, of all places, the Atlanta International Airport. He already had a restaurant in the city (his hometown), Straits (pictured above right), but that'll be shuttered to make way for the new venture, which he and a few other people seem very excited about on Twitter.

What kind of joint is it going to be? We called up the publicist for Chicken-n-Beer, who told us the concept is still in the works, but it's going to be a little 'closer to home' than his last place. And quite a bit more Southern, too: Ludacris is working with Atlanta Restaurant Partners on a menu that'll feature fried bird, naturally, as well as breakfast biscuits, burgers, chicken and waffles, and what we're told will be craft beer, so far of unknown provenance. They promise 'premium ingredients,' though, which sounds a whole lot better than the months-old potato salad they were reportedly serving at Flav's Chicken.
